Minnie is a 21 year old lover of all things health and fitness. She’s a marketing and media student who has a passion for food, wellness, and spreading positivity to others to live every day to its fullest. Minnie is a strong believer that they key to life is balance! Her favourite thing to cook is anything with peanut butter, or chocolate, or both! Min loves to create new, delicious recipes that are healthy, nutritious, and good for the soul.
What inspired you to start your Instagram/blogging?
After a crazy year last year, my parents getting a divorce and my mum fighting breast cancer, I really wanted to turn my life around and embrace a healthier, positive, more active lifestyle. I have always loved food and creating recipes was something that made me happy! I was also seeing a Naturopath at the time to fix my digestive issues, so naturally I felt like I wanted to start biteswithbalance to inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle too. I wanted to show others that being “fit” and “healthy” didn’t have to have rules and boundaries – life is all about balance!
What’s your favourite thing to create and why?
This is a hard question! I love creating healthier alternatives to my favourite treats. Not that there is anything wrong with a cheeky chocolate bar here and there, but coming up with recipes which are vegan and dairy free helps me curb my cravings as I have such a sweet tooth! Lately I’ve been loving to create healthy protein balls or bars, or homemade banana or sweet potato bread.

What’s your preferred sweetener?
Honestly, I love using Nuvia in my recipes! A little goes a long way, and I love incorporating it with maple syrup as well. It’s a match made in heaven!
What’s your favourite thing to do with your spare time?
During my down time I love to bake and get creative in the kitchen – it’s like my destress, zen zone! Otherwise I love surrounding myself with friends and family, and going out for delicious food. Brunching is my favourite way to catch up with friends!
Any guilty pleasures?
Oh, I have so many! I absolutely love ice cream and froyo as a sweet treat. I also love chocolate (I mean, who doesn’t), and peanut butter has always been my obsession!
What TV show are you loving at the moment?
I’m a sucker for a good, corny reality TV show. I’ve been loving The Bachelorette, and loved Love Island earlier this year!
